Washtenaw Area Right to Life is proud to have Barbara Listing as our Special Guest Speaker at our Focus on Life 2020. Right to Life of Michigan President since 1981, Barbara Listing is responsible for managing the organization’s educational, legal and political efforts to build a culture of life in our state. She represents Michigan as a board member of the National Right to Life Committee. Barb has co-managed three successful statewide legislative initiative drives and two successful statewide referenda votes including ending tax-funding of Medicaid abortions in Michigan, defeating the legalization of assisted suicide and, most recently, preventing insurance coverage of abortion through health care reform. Prior to her full-time involvement in the prolife movement, Barb was a high school history teacher and guidance counselor. She also served as a local RLM affiliate president, editor of the state conference book, and RLM Vice-President for Organization. She is married and has one daughter and a grandson.
